Palus Shikshan Prasarak Mandal founded by Shri. S. K. Patil and his companions in 1958, established this college in 1992 with the Motto, “Tamaso Ma Jyotirgamaya”, aims at; removing general backwardness of the area, providing opportunity of higher education for the women, enabling the students to accept of the new era and inculcating moral values.
Palus Shikshan Prasarak Mandal believes in the fact that educated and well cultured youth is the power of nation. The college has been becoming a centre of innovation in the field of higher education in Palus and its surroundings. It is continuously striving for excellence in higher education and encouraging students for out siding performance. Throughout its existence of over two decades, it has shown remarkable progress and sustained an integrated development of all faculties. It has significantly contributed to the academic and economic development as a Human Resource Development of not only the region but also of the Country.
The College has set its goals and objectives in tune with the aspirations of our students through the needs and expectations of the society. We strive to impart quality education to our students and encourage them to participate in various co-curricular and extracurricular activities to bring out the best of their talents so as to enrich their all-round personality development in the modern world of 21st century. Keeping abreast with the advances in the world around and the need of the hour, the college is offering the following courses.
Traditional courses : BA, B.Com., B.Sc. and B.Sc.Computer Science, MA, M.Sc.
Self funded professional courses : BBA, BCA, and PGDCA, and Career Oriented Courses like Functional English, Electric Maintenance of Domestic Appliances, Plant Protection, and Sericulture, Tax procedure, Yoga Meditation and Hard-ware Maintenance.
A sprawling campus of 25 acres provides space for Academic sports, games and cultural facilities. Huge sport complex with 400 meter track, play grounds, spacious hall for indoor games, Jim, amphitheater facility, Competitive Exam coaching center, canteen facility, hostels for women and plantation enrich the beauty of the campus.
One of the prime endeavors of the college has been to bring in course along with innovations in the delivery of Higher Education. Consequently appropriate design and introduction of new courses, those are so essential for an active engagement with the community around, have always been its hallmark. Taking steps forward, the PG courses such as MCA, MA, MBA, M.Com and M.Sc. will likely to be started in coming feature.
